Three things that aren’t the consulting work but are connected to it because they very much represent who I am and what I’m all about. And if we’re going to work together… I think that matters.

SPEAKING

For more than twenty years, I’ve spoken on college campuses about a talk I call The Most Important Story Ever Told — which is the story we tell ourselves about who we are.

I don’t charge for these. I never have. It’s where my free work goes. I show up, I tell the truth about my own life, I talk about depression and self-love and the cost of believing the wrong story for too long, and then I take questions until the room empties.

I do it because students show up to it differently than they show up to most things, and because the conversations after are some of the most meaningful I have all year.

“My favorite guest speaker this year (might even be ever) was Todd Lieman. Everything he said was so inspiring and got me not only to think deeply, but also to reflect on so many past experiences and relationships.” — USC Student

“…hearing you talk in my class at USC was life changing for me. Best guest speaker I’ve ever listened to.” — USC Student

“It was one of the most amazing nights of my college career and something I will never forget.” — Cal Poly SLO Student

If you teach somewhere and you’d like me to come, ask. I’ll say yes.

WRITING

I wrote a book called Dinner at God’s House.

It’s a fictionalized novel of my life. The story of a man who isn’t afraid of death but is afraid of life. I wrote it because I spent a lot of years being that man, and writing about it was the only way I knew to help him heal.

The book is about trust, forgiveness, and love. It’s about depression, suicidal ideation, childhood, and the kind of life that becomes possible when you finally stop performing the one you think you’re supposed to live. It’s not about God. It’s not about religion. It’s about the courage it takes to trust yourself.

“I found myself crying multiple times, laughing out loud, and just appreciating the heartfelt truth-bombs all the way through the story. Todd Lieman has touched on something in this book that few authors can — handling the greatest mysteries of life, the greatest heartbreaks and disappointments with so much grace and honesty.” — Anna-Marie O’Brien

It’s on Amazon if you want to read it: Dinner at God’s House.

A DAY WELL LIVED

A Day Well Lived is a philosophy I’ve been carrying for a long time. It started as something I taught my six-year-old about gratitude. It grew into a conversation about mental health, healing, and being honest about the days that don’t go well. It’s settled into something simpler: a practice of being present, doing my best on the day in front of me, and trying to positively impact every being I come into contact with.

It’s not a brand. It’s not a product. It’s the philosophy underneath the work — including the consulting work. When I push a client toward a truth they’ve been avoiding, this is why. When I sit quietly with someone who doesn’t know what to say next, this is why. When I tell someone we shouldn’t work together, this is why.

A portion of anything I make through A Day Well Lived goes to mental health causes — awareness and treatment.
