This parenting thing comes with its share of stresses. It’s amazing that something so wonderful can be laced with moments (okay, maybe more than just mere “moments”) of pure dread. The daily grind of life, bills, work, you name it, turns a simple whine into the equivalent of 10,000 fingernails on a chalkboard. It’s during these times that we need to remember to laugh. After all, is a four year-old’s constantly repeated whine of “I want, I want, I want, I want” really that bad? Not really. Not in the grand scheme, right?
With that – I offer you a bit of humor today.
One of the greatest stresses that parents have is saving for college. We all have our 529 Savings Plan (or at least we know that we should) set up for the kid(s). (Though, some of us have the “go be a child star and please stay off drugs plan” too.) But, really – is simply putting money away for college enough?
